Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

British weather is so unpredictable. One day it’s Sunny, the next it’s raining, then it’s boiling hot again, and a few minutes later it’s snowing. Subhanallah. Just pondering over the power of Allah Ta’ala, and the way He controls the weather, directed my attention towards Imaan.

Our Imaan is like the weather. Sometimes our Imaan can be sunny, when we’re constantly doing the dhikr of Allah, praying namaz punctually, increasing the amount of Qur’aan we read but then at times, our Imaan turns into rain. We get lazy and delay our salah to such an extent that sometimes we end up praying near the ending time. Our dhikr drops heavily and we’re engaged more in worly affairs rather than our Aakhirah.

At times, we so want to change, build up on our imaan, want to do everything to please the Almighty. Our bodies harden and prepare to work for the Aakhirah, to submit to Allah by constantly remembering Him, going frequently to bayans, staying up in the night to praise Him but then, at times it drops so much that all we can see is laziness in ourselves. Don’t you just hate it when this happens?

What we want is our a’maal to be constant and not up and down. We all know that Allah Ta’ala likes the actions that are constant. So, for this reason, I am going to start up weekly Sunnahs, so that we can try to bring the actions of Rasulullah sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam into our lives, and by doing so, earn the pleasure of Allah Almighty insha’Allah.

May Allah Ta’ala grant me the tawfeeq to act upon what has been written and may Allah Ta’ala accept these small efforts of mine. Ameen.

Dua me yaad
